The Washing Machine Energy Label Energy Efficiency Standards and Marking Method were amended and announced on August 26, 2021, and will become effective on September 1, 2023.

1. When applying for the washing machine energy label verification, the applicable scope, energy efficiency test conditions and methods, and the energy efficiency standard shall conform to the following regulations:
(1) Applicable scope
Washing machines that conform to the National Standards of the Republic of China (hereafter referred to as CNS) 60335-2-7 regulations or certified by the relevant competent authority.
(2) Energy efficiency test conditions and methods
1. Washing machine energy efficiency test conditions and methods shall conform to JIS C9606 requirements.
2. Testing voltage and frequency: the testing rated voltage is 110V±1% or 220V±1%; the rated frequency is 60Hz±1%.
(3) Washing machine energy efficiency standard
The maximum load capacity, water level, standard washing cycle testing mode shall comply with the following standard values:

(4) Common requirements
1. The cleaning ratio and rinsing ratio’s actual test value shall be calculated to the first decimal point.
2. The spin drying ratio’s actual test value shall be calculated to the first whole number.
3. The cleaning and rinsing actual power consumption for each kilogram of clothing shall be calculated to the fourth decimal point.

2. The washing machine’s energy label shall conform to the following regulations:
(1) The name and address of the label user should be clearly displayed on the product or package.
(2) If the aforementioned entity is an agent, the manufacturer’s name and address must be displayed on the product or package.
(3) The product catalog shall have the product’s energy efficiency value.
