To achieve the goals of developing reasonable and applicable energy efficiency criteria, the Energy Label criteria are developed and approved after a rigorous consultation and discussion process involving manufacturers/retailers, representatives of experts and academia from relevant fields, and label review committee members. Thus only 3-4 criteria are promulgated each year. If your product is not listed in the Energy Label product category, we are unable to accept your application at this time. However, we would appreciate your supplying relevant energy efficiency data to us, so that we may decide whether to put your product as a candidate for development of future criteria.
