Exit Lights and Emergency Direction Lights:

Energy Conservation Labeling Program Requirements for Exit Lights and Emergency Direction Lights
(Promulgated and in effect November 16, 2007)

I. The scope of application, energy consumption test method and energy efficiency criteria for the exit lights and emergency direction lights (“products”) applying for Energy Label certification shall meet the following requirements:

(I) Scope
The applicable products shall be exit lights or emergency direction lights which meet the requirements of CNS 10207 and its future amendments.

(II) Energy consumption test conditions and method
1.Ambient test conditions: The test shall be conducted indoor (with zero wind speed) with ambient temperature of 20-27℃.
2.Power supply during test: The electrical voltage and frequency (60Hz) fluctuations during testing shall be less than ±0.5%, and the total harmonic loss of the power supply voltage waveform shall be less than 3%.
3.Input power demand and power factor (η): Apply rated power with rated voltage and frequency at the product terminals and measured the input current and input power (expressed as W), in order to calculate the power factor as:

Power Factor (η) = input power / (input voltage × input current)

(III) Energy consumption criteria for exit lights and emergency direction lights
The measured input power W and power factorηshall meet the following criteria:

Note: The product’s A, B and C classifications follow the classification defined in CNS 10207 and its future amendments.

II. Notes on product labeling:
(I) The name and address of the label user shall be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging.
(II) If the label user is an agent, the name and address of the product manufacturer shall also be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging.
(III) The input power (W) shall be marked on the product or product catalog.
(VI)The measured input power consumption shall be rounded to integer, and the calculated power factor shall be rounded to two decimal places.
