Energy Conservation Labeling Program Requirements for DVD Recorders or Players
(Promulgated and in effect December 7, 2007)
I. The scope of application, energy consumption test method and energy efficiency criteria for the DVD Recorders or Players (“products”) applying for Energy Label certification shall meet the following requirements:
(I) Scope
The applicable products shall be household DVD recorders or players which meet the requirements of CNS-13438, CNS-13439, CNS-14336 or CNS-14408, or have been recognized by the competent authority as household DVD player/recorder products.
(II) Energy consumption test conditions and method
The energy consumption test conditions and method for the products shall meet the requirements of IEC 62301.
(III) Energy Consumption Criteria
The measured energy consumption during the product’s passive standby mode shall meet the following criteria:
II. Notes on product labeling:
(I) The name and address of the label user shall be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging.
(II) If the label user is an agent, the name and address of the product manufacturer shall also be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging.
(III) The passive standby power consumption shall be stated in the product catalog.
(IV)The measured passive standby power consumption shall be rounded to one decimal place.
