Energy Efficiency Criteria and Labeling Method for Energy Label Qualified Televisions
(Revision promulgated November, 30, 2009 , in effect January 1,2010)

1. The scope of application, energy consumption test method and energy efficiency criteria for the televisions (“products”) applying for Energy Label certification shall meet the following requirements:
(1) Scope of application
The product shall meet the requirements of CNS 14408, or recognized by the Bureau of Energy of MOEA as televisions.
(2) Energy consumption test conditions and method
The energy consumption testing of qualified products shall be conducted in accordance with the test conditions and test method as stated in the ENERGY STAR Program Requirements for Televisions (Eligibility Criteria Version 3.0). The power consumption for the On Mode shall be tested based on IEC 62087, Ed. 2.0; while the power consumption for Standby Mode tested based on IEC 62301, Ed 1.0. The tested voltage shall be 110V ±1%.

2. Notes on product labeling:
(1) The name and address of the label user shall be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging;
(2) If the label user is an agent, the name and address of the product manufacturer shall also be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging;
(3) The product's measured power consumption value (W) shall be stated in the product catalog;
(4) The product's measured power consumption values shall be rounded to one decimal place.
