Energy Conservation Labeling Program Requirements for Fan Type Integrated Refrigerator-Freezers
(Revision Promulgated April 24, 2007 and in effect August 1, 2007

The Energy Factor (EF) for Energy Label qualified refrigerator-Freezers products shall be measured according to CNS 2062, or the most current version of test conditions and methodology stipulated by the energy regulating competent authority, and shall meet the following requirements
Equivalent Refrigerated
Capacity(Liter)
From Aug. 1, 2007 to
July 31, 2009
Start from Aug. 1, 2009
Less Than 400
EF=(V/(0.058V+38.3)) × 1.45
EF=V/(0.037V+24.3)
Larger than and equal to 400
EF=(V/(0.054V+35.2)) × 1.45
EF=V/(0.031V+21.0)

2.. Notes on product labeling:
a. The name and address of the label user shall be clearly displayed on the product or    product packaging. If the label user is an agent, the name and address of the product manufacturer shall also be clearly displayed on the product or product packaging;
b. The Energy Factor (EF) shall be stated in the product catalog;
c. The product testing shall be conducted in accordance with CNS 2062.
3.. Notes on calculation of Energy Factor(EF) for refrigerators:
a. EFmeasured=V/WM (L/kWh/month)
b. WM: monthly power consumption (kWh/month)
c. V(liter): Equivalent interior capacity; V=VR+K×VF
d. VR(liter): capacity of refrigeration compartment
e. VF(liter): capacity of freezer compartment
f. K: conversion factor for calculating freezer compartment capacity, which is 1.56 for 2-star rating, 1.67 for super 2-star rating, and 1.78 for 3-star and 4-star rating.
