Instructions:

Applicant should complete 3 identical sets of “Energy Label Application Form”, and stamped with corporate seal. Arrange the required documentation together with the application form in proper order and send the application material to application implementation organization.

If the submitted application is found to be incomplete, the implementation organization will inform the applicant in writing to provide required information within a two-month period. If application is still considered incomplete after the prescribed period, implementation organization will inform the Energy Commission of this status.

If the application is determined to be complete, the implementation organization would proceed with the initial document review.

Within one month of receiving the application, the implementation organization shall complete the initial review and forward to Energy Commission its decision on whether to proceed with formal review or reject of the application. If deemed necessary, this period may be extended to two months.

The Energy Commission should conduct the formal review, and the result of such review shall be sent to the applicant in writing by the implementation organization.

During the review process, if it is deemed necessary to conduct product sampling and testing, the incurred fees should be borne by the applicant.

If the Energy Commission approves of the application after its formal review, the implementation organization should inform the applicant in writing to sign the label usage agreement within one month.

After signing the label usage agreement with the applicant, the implementation organization should inform Energy Commission, which then recommends MOEA to award the approved applicant with label usage certificate.。

The implementation organization should create a file for the approved applicant (label user) and send to Energy Commission for follow-up and monitoring of label usage.

The label user should submit prior quarter’s statistics on label usage and labeled product sales to implementation organization in the beginning of January, April, July and October each year. The implementation organization should file the submitted data in order to monitor and manage the label usage.
